So Many Issues...What to Start With?

Why is it that a party can change in an instant when the discussion turns to politics? People's hatred and bigotry come out. In some instances you see their true colors and it is not all pretty. While I consider myself to be politically active and aware, I do not consider myself a missionary of the Democrat party. I will not try to convert you. I will listen to what you have to say and request the same in return. I may disagree with you but respect your conviction. I will try to keep my my mouth shut when all I want to do is yell and scream! However, when you belittle my thoughts and tell me that I am a bad Christian for my beliefs that is below the belt. When you call my sister stupid when she is the most brilliant person in the room is wrong. (And you do so in front of her family and her son. You really should be ashamed of yourself!) You want to hit below the belt? We can go there. I will not dignify this post with the details but some people need to remember there manners when at a party and that everyone's opinion is important. This argument over politics at a child's christening got me thinking......what has this country come to?
